S/3611 Antique 19th Century Birds Eye Maple Musical Box

A small birds eye maple musical box, playing three airs, titled on an original label on the lid: Absent minded Beggar; Jack's the Boy; and Are we to Post like Chris. It is number 7000 and is raised on four ebonised protruding feet. It has two brass sliding catches, one to stop and start and one to change or repeat the tune. There is no damage to the comb and it is in full working condition. The box retains a patination.
