S/3643 Antique Treen 19th Century Wheelwright's Traveller

A wheelwright's traveller, having an elm notched wheel, held in place with a fruitwood handle. One circumference measures two feet. This was used by wheelwrights for measuring the circumference of a wheel for the iron hoop to be made before fitting. The whole retains a patination and has a medium colour.
