S/3876 Antique Treen 19th Century Swedish Bentwood Food Box

A most attractive Swedish oval lidded bentwood food box, having extensive punch work decoration. The central handle is made from a natural branch, and the locking mechanism is a revolving wedge on an interior spindle attached to the inside of the box. The whole has an excellent colour and retains a patination.
