S/3848 Antique Treen 19th Century Oak Snuff Shoe

An unusual snuff shoe in well grained oak, having a sliding rounded lid that has mother of pearl inlay. The shoe,with a protruding heal, has pique decoration to the sole and heal, as well as either side of the lid. The whole has a good rich colour and patination.
