S/3946 Antique Treen 19th Century Table Top Fruitwood Snuff Shoe

An attractive table top fruitwood snuff shoe, having a brass hinged sloping lid. The whole shoe, with a protruding heal, is carved with concentric lines, with a diamond hatched surround to the heal and two borders of continuous leaf work each side of the sole. The whole has a good medium colour and patination.
