S/3948 Antique Treen 19th Century Natural Burr Tobacco Cutter

A circular carved natural burr, having a hinged swivelling blade for cutting tobacco. The flat cutting surface is next to a carved recess to contain the finished cut tobacco. The whole has a rich colour and patination.
