S/3873 Antique Treen 19th Century Burr Birch Pounce Pot

A one piece cylindrical burr birch pounce pot, having a protruding dish top with a boxwood centre and approximately 65 holes. It is seated on a base with raised decoration and a rounded foot, and extensively inscribed in pen on the underside. The whole has a lovely well grained honey colour and good patination.
