S/3951 Antique Treen 19th Century Walnut Collection Book Box

A good quality walnut collection box in the form of a book, having chamfered sides that are divided by a concave satin walnut centre with an end slot for coins. The bow fronted panelled and moulded spine has two red leather labels, with gilt lettering, British and Foreign Bible Society and Thank Offerings. The base of the spine slides forward to gain access to the interior. The whole has a pleasing colour and patination.
