S/3908 Antique Early 20th Century American Wood and Litho Decorated Tin Pull Toy

An interesting wood and litho decorated tin pull toy and contents, by The Hustler Toy Company of Sterling, Illinois, U.S.A. stamped with their detailed registration mark. At the end of 1924, the company Hustler Toy Company was founded as a subsidiary of the firm Frantz Manufacturing. They produced wooden toys such as this example. At the end of the 1920's the Toylander Corporation was acquired, which also produced toys in Sterling. The main developer was Clare A. Wetzel, who appears on almost all patents from Hustler. Mainly animal figures and doll like figures were produced. Husterler produced and sold over 100 different toys all over the world. In 1934 the production of toys ended. They then only produced roller skates till 1970.
