S/3914 Antique Treen 19th Century Iron Bound Staved Oak Costrel
An originally painted and now patinated iron bound staved oak costrel, having a raised stopper mount beside a small air hole. One end has 8 painted crown motifs and is initialled J.S. It is probably from a coaching inn called The Crown, and is an interesting and tactile item.
