S/3754 Antique Early 20th Century Pair of Japanese Octagonal Bamboo Tea Caddies

An interesting pair of Japanese octagonal bamboo tea caddies, having lids divided into nine bone panels, and the bases each having eight vertical panels all engraved with scenes of figures in garden settings and written words in Japanese characters. The pair have a pleasing colour and retain a patination.
