S/3941 Antique Treen 19th Century Solid Yew Wood Games Box

A lovely solid yew wood games box of the William IV Period, having a panelled sliding lid that encloses a removable yew wood cribbage board with finger grips and crossbanded in kingwood, raised on four corner bun feet. It has four scoring pegs in red and white colours. The box is then divided into two conforming sections, housing a collection of coloured counters, and a vacant area for possibly playing or gaming cards. The whole has a lovely colour and grain with original patination.
