S/4053 Antique Treen 19th Century Yew Wood Lady's Pomander

A small early 19th century yew wood lady's pomander of squat circular form, which unscrews in the centre and having scent holes to both sides. It has a paper label to the interior, which reads 'from Mrs Marshal 6 Dec (18)76' The whole has a good rich colour and grain, as often found in yew wood, and an excellent patination.
