S/4070 Antique Treen 19th Century Coquilla Nut Go to Bed
A lovely two section coquilla nut go to bed of barrel form, having extremely finely turned decoration. The bone finial has a central hole for the match. The top half unscrews to retain matches and the underside of the base section is finely grooved in concentric circles to act as a striker. On normal go to beds there is sand paper on the base for this purpose. It has a lovely rich colour with attractive grain and good patination, as often found on coquilla nut items.
