S/4146 Antique Treen 19th Century Mahogany Snuff Shoe

An interesting love token of a small delicately made mahogany snuff shoe, having a pointed toe with cross hatch carved decoration on the top, sliding lid and back. The underside of the heal has a silver inset plaque engraved with the letter A. The sole has an inset silver heart, informing the recipient that I give you my heart and sole. The whole has a pleasing colour, grain and patination.
