S/4181 Antique Treen 19th Century Mahogany Pedestal Salt

An excellent early 19th century mahogany pedestal salt of diminutive proportions, having a top with a lipped rim and round and banded body, that is raised on a compressed stem, seated on a stepped and rounded foot. It has a small central hole in the base that is a chuck mark for the pole lathe. The whole has a wonderful rich colour and excellent patination, a real collector's item.
