S/4184 Antique Treen Welsh Beech Cawl Bowl of the Georgian Period
A lovely beech pole lathe turned Welsh cawl bowl, having extensive turning rings inside and out, including a central chuck mark hole on the base and raised on a shallow foot. Through shrinkage across the grain it has now become almost oval in appearance, and is an excellent example of a good rich colour and patination.
