S/4195 Antique Early 20th Century Hardwood Somalian Spoon

An interesting early 20th century carved handled hardwood pointed spoon from Somalia, having a handle with half moon and rectangular panels minutely carved with line, ribbed, dot and arrow decoration. The spoon is pointed at both ends with thin edges and is called a Boni spoon after the tribe. It was used for eating purposes such as porridge etc. The whole has a pale honey colour and good patination.
