S/4213 Antique Treen 19th Century Burr Birch String Ball

An interesting Scandinavian burr birch string ball of circular form, having a fitted top that has three holes with protruding bone surrounds, while the base has a further two, making five holes in all for string to be accessed. The whole has an excellent grain, colour and patination.
