S/4227 Antique Treen 18th Century Beech Ale Beaker

A good early 18th century beech ale beaker of rounded and tapered form, having a thin rim above a band of incised lines, which conform with the base. The interior, with wide pole lathe marks, adds to its attraction, as an item of rustic charm that has amazingly survived the passage of time. The whole has an excellent rich colour and patination.
