S/4220 Antique Treen 19th Century Folk Art Mahogany Money Box

An interesting late Victorian folk art mahogany money box, constructed from six flat panels of mahogany with scolloped and chiselled ends. It is of solid construction and the only way to retrieve the contents is to unscrew the square brass plate on the top side. The design suggests it may be of religious use.
