S/4329 Antique 19th Century Brass Presentation Plate

An interesting well worn pressed brass fully inscribed presentation plate, engraved around the perimeter with 17 plaques for first, second and third prizes won for animals and birds, all won by Sir Charles C. W. Domville Bart, at the North Dublin and Aingal Farming Society's Cattle Show, 1859. The domed centre has punched decoration and depicts a vase of flowers, worn through by polishing in several areas. Sir Charles was born in Santry, Dublin, in 1822, and inherited his title and estates in 1857. He married in 1861 and died in 1884.
