S/4447 Antique Treen 18th Century Game Fork

An early good quality 18th century game fork made from Brazilian Pernambuco, that has a ring turned acorn finial with a conforming collar above a three pronged steel fork. Brazilian Pernambuco is a very hard wood, that has a reddish/purple colour and will often stain the hand when worked. It is used for making violin bows. The handle has a good rich colour and patination.
