S/4483 Antique Treen 19th Century Dutch Tobacco Jar
An attractive circular Dutch turned and staved tobacco jar, having alternate staves in birch and mahogany of baluster form. The interior has the remains of a lead lining and has a separate drop down lid, which is below a fitted and staved conforming lid, with a graduated cone finial with a bone inset. The whole has a pleasing colour and patination.
