S/4488 Antique Treen 19th Century Coromandel Wood Snuff Box

A lovely early 19th century slim coromandel wood circular snuff box, having four circular incised lines. The fitted lid has a central inset brass circular plaque, initialled A.C.B. and J.G.B. and dated 1821. The interior rim is fitted with a thin brass band and the whole has an excellent colour, showing a small area of sap wood, and lovely patination.
