S/4429 Antique Late Victorian Solid Mahogany Pair of Urns with Blown Unworked Ostrich Eggs

A magnificent and most imposing pair of well turned solid mahogany urns, containing blown unworked ostrich eggs (struthio camelus). Each urn of rounded form, has a concave stepped and rounded base on a square raised platform, made from a single piece of quality mahogany. The urns have an excellent rich colour and patination.
