S/4567 Antique Bone Horse Snuff Spoon of the Georgian Period

A beautiful Georgian bone snuff spoon in the form of a horse, which is exceptionally well carved with fine detailing to the horse's head, the mane and the harness. Great attention has been paid to the buckles and straps, and even the horse's hooves are well detailed. It has obtained a deep and rich amber patina and must be considered a rare and unusual example of a gentleman's snuff spoon. It was possibly a prisoner of war work.
