S/4562 Antique Treen 18th Century Staved Oak Costrel
An exceptionally good example of an 18th century staved oak iron bound costrel of sturdy construction, having a substantial raised bung hole beside a small air hole, with a most attractive blacksmith wrought iron bale swing handle. Both ends have well defined capital initials C.W. The whole has a good rich colour and excellent patination.
