S/4626 Antique Treen Yew Wood Hand Loom Weaving Shuttle of the Georgian Period

A good yew wood hand loom weaving shuttle and pirn, which is of traditional form, carved from the solid, with iron tips and carved with the initial E. It has a grain, colour and patination to die for! To a collector who loves wood, this is a must buy. Pirns were the spindles holding the thread enclosed in the shuttle, were mostly of beech and varied in length and diameter according to the size of the shuttle.
