S/4607 Antique Treen 19th Century Boxwood Cuckoo Whistle

A well turned boxwood cuckoo whistle, having an acorn finial. It is in full working condition, simulating the sound of a cuckoo. The body, of traditional form, has incised lines and a lovely rich colour, grain and patination. It is an excellent example.
