S/4613 Antique Treen 18th Century Spiral Candlestick

An extremely good example of a late 18th century spiral candlestick, having a traveller for adjusting the height of the candle and a hook for carrying or hanging. The spiral is seated on a conical and moulded fruitwood circular base of most attractive form, with a concave under side. The base has a lovely rich colour and excellent patination.
