S/4647 Antique Treen 19th Century Fruitwood Shepherd's Cup or Dipper

An attractive folk art Romanian fruitwood shepherd's cup or dipper, all chip carved from a single block of wood. These were often carved by hill shepherds while attending their sheep during the summer months. The edges have a zig zag design surrounding a central panel each side, the handle is pierced with conforming decoration. The whole has a pleasing colour and retains a patination.
