S/4656 Antique Treen 19th Century Mahogany and Sycamore Book Box

A small well constructed 19th century book box, having a mahogany spine that opens to reveal a full sized dovetailed mahogany lined drawer. The front and sides are of sycamore with an oval mahogany boxwood lined panel and edged with a band of chevron inlay. The back is mahogany edged with boxwood stringing. It has a most attractive contrasting colour and retains a patination.
