S/4711 Antique Treen Pair of 19th Century Pear Wood Candlesticks

An attractive pair of 19th century pear wood candlesticks of most attractive proportions, with great attention given to the detailed turning. As the pair of candlesticks are made of pear wood, they have an excellent grain, colour and patination, which is so often the case with fruitwood items. The circular bases are lead weighted for stability and one has historical damage, which has been expertly restored, although it is noticeable on close inspection.
