S/4664 Antique Treen Early 19th Century Ash Auctioneer's Gavel Stand
A most unusual ash auctioneer's gavel stand, having a solid ash block of barrel form that has two incised lines to the top and a worn centre where the auctioneer constantly brought down his gavel. It is a most interesting item of treen for the collector and has a lovely grain, colour and patination.
