S/4754 Antique Treen 19th Century Lignum Vitae String Barrel

A good large lignum vitae string barrel of traditional form in heart and sap wood, having a domed stepped and rounded screw lid with a central raised finial to exit the string. The whole has an excellent colour and patination.
