S/4765 Antique Treen 19th Century Scandinavian Birch and Pine Trinket or Jewellery Box

A small Scandinavian oval domed trinket box, having stitched overlapping joins in the traditional manner. The sides are made of birch and the top and base of pine. The whole has a pale honey colour and retains a patination.
