S/4755 Antique Treen Early 19th Century Yew Wood Spice Pot
An exceptional yew wood spice pot, having a fitted and stepped lid with a knob like finial, that is seated on a tapered cylindrical base with a well turned moulded and vertical foot. The underside and lid is slightly concave, with fine pole lathe turnings. It has a wonderful rich colour and patination, as often found in yew wood items that have not faded with the passage of time.
