S/4272 Antique 18th Century Pontypool Toleware Tray

A fine 18th century Pontypool tole ware tray of the Georgian Period, having original decoration. The rectangular design, with a lace work gallery, has a central motif depicting a bird on a floral branch surrounded by various flowers and seed pods. The paintwork is in remarkably good condition with no re-touching. The background has a few spots and losses as visible in the images, as is very often the case with these tole ware items.
