S/4748 Antique Treen 18th Century Georgian Oval Partridge Wood Lidded Box

A small 18th century Georgian oval partridge wood lidded box, of exceptionally fine quality and workmanship, made from two solid pieces of partridge wood with a white metal stop hinge supporting the lid. The interior has semi circular recessed compartments, possibly for precious stones while working on a ring or piece of jewellery. The whole has an excellent rich colour, grain and patination.
