S/4807 Antique Treen 19th Century Mahogany Pair of Bellows Snuff Box

An excellent mahogany snuff box in the form of a pair of bellows. The front has pique lettering which reads 'Forget Me Not'. The front, sides and back all have pique decoration. On the back there is a sliding lid to gain access to the snuff. The lid also has a stop pin to the underside, to stop it coming right out and possibly becoming lost. The whole is well carved, of exceptional quality, and has a wonderful rich colour and patination.
