A good 19th century four tier sycamore spice tower, of traditional form and retaining its original labels for cloves, nutmegs, ginger and mace. Each compartment is separated with a screw thread and the whole has a good rich colour and patination. The centre of the top lid has been re-veneered at some stage, as one can see a closed shrinkage crack on the edge and underside.
