S/4809 Antique Treen 19th Century Boxwood Double Sided Pill Rounder

A circular boxwood double sided pill rounder for making two different sized pills. One side is deeper than the other. Pill rounders were used by chemists. After the pill was cut from the pill machine it was placed under the pill rounder, and by moving it in a circular motion it became round. It was then placed in a pill silverer for coating. The whole has a honey colour and patination.
