S/4852 Antique Treen 19th Century Scandinavian Bentwood Pine Food or Trinket Box

An attractive oval bentwood Scandinavian pine food or trinket box, having various incised decoration. The detachable lid has a branch loop handle, and is fitted between a vertical post to each end in the traditional manner. The whole has a medium colour and retains a patination.
