S/4851 Antique Treen 18th Century Fruitwood Book Snuff Box

A lovely late 18th century fruitwood snuff box resembling a book, with the whole bordered with carved wriggle work decoration and the sliding lid and back having diamond decoration inlay within a cartouche. The spine is divided into three panels and it is all carved from a single piece of wood. The whole has a pleasing warm colour and patination.
