S/4847 Antique 18th Century Folk Art Walking Stick
An exceptional 18th century folk art walking stick, having a protruding handle initialled I.R. with two carved faces. The body has a carved name, date and inscription, 'I Row II is 86' and then 'I naturally growed for use of my master and if I should break burn me hearafter'. The whole body has extensive chip carved decoration depicting leafage and other various designs. The whole has an excellent honey colour and patination.
