S/4849 Antique Mid 19th Century Folk Art Hickory Walking Stick

A fine mid 19th century folk art hickory walking stick, having a body signed 'R. Bates and dated 1854' with scenes depicting a huntsman and hounds, a horse and carriage, houses and figures, fisherman on a bridge, fish, birds, hearts and diamonds, stars, an owl on a tree and many other various subjects and designs. The whole has an excellent honey colour and patination.
