S/4887 Antique Treen 19th Century Ash Brass Rimmed Measure

A delightful small ash brass rimmed measure, having punched decoration under the brass rim, with what appears at first glance to be letters? It is stamped number 2 with the initials N.E.D.L. The whole has a good colour, grain and patination.
