S/4934 Antique Treen 19th Century Birch One Gallon Measure

A Victorian birch one gallon grain measure, having a nailed overlap join and stamped gallon with excise marks of a crown, V.R., 67 and L.C.C. from the county of Surrey, 1881 onwards. It is also stamped again on the side and base. The whole has a pleasing mellow colour and retains a patination.
