S/4920 Antique Treen Welsh Oak Knife and Spoon Rack of the Georgian Period

An unusual and extremely attractive Welsh oak knife and spoon rack, having a front with two fret cut soul motifs, often found in love spoons, that is above a shaped base. The three steps have holes for six knives and twelve spoons and the raised backboard has a cut out suspension hole for hanging on a wall, although it would sit comfortably on a shelf or side table. The whole has an excellent rich colour and patination.
